Automatic list blocks

These blocks pull their content from another collection instead of you typing it in — add the block once and it stays current on its own, or lets you hand-pick which items to show. See Pages and the page builder for why this is worth using instead of typing a list by hand.

Most of these blocks share the header fields described in Layout and highlight blocks (Subtitle, Title, Description, Layout, and sometimes buttons) above the list itself — only what each block adds on top of that is covered below.

News Grid

Pulls from News. Content Source is either Latest (automatic) — always shows the newest articles, optionally filtered to one or more Categories — or Manual selection, where you pick specific articles yourself. In automatic mode you can also turn on a search box and pagination.

Fields that matter: Content Source (Latest/Manual), Filter by Categories (Latest mode only, leave empty for all), Items to Show, Show Pagination, Show Search, or News Items in Manual mode.

Press Grid

The same pattern as News Grid, pulling from Press Releases instead — Latest (automatic, with an optional category filter, item count and pagination) or Manual selection.

Fields that matter: Content Source (Latest/Manual), Filter by Categories, Items to Show, Show Pagination, or Press Releases in Manual mode.

Events List

Pulls from Events — including courses, since courses live in the same collection with Kind set to Course (see Events and courses). This is the most configurable block in this set:

  • Display Type — Grid View, Calendar View, or Both, which adds a toggle so visitors can switch between the two themselves.
  • Show Past Events — off by default, so the list normally shows only upcoming events.
  • Filters — pick which filter controls appear above the list: Search, Host, Qualifying hours, Date range, Time period. Leave empty for no filter bar. Host and Qualifying hours narrow results to courses specifically.
  • Event Tabs — up to 4 tabs rendered as navigation above the list, each scoped to Events only, Courses only, or All, and optionally further narrowed to specific Event Types. Add a single tab to filter the whole block without showing any tab navigation.
  • Limit — how many events show at once.

Use the Event Tabs setting deliberately — it's the difference between "one filtered list" (one tab) and "a set of switchable lists" (several tabs), and it's easy to add tabs without meaning to.

Magazine Issues

Pulls from Magazine Issues (see Texas REALTOR® Magazine). Selection Mode is Latest Issues (most recent first, up to a set Items Per Page) or Manual — pick specific issues. There's also an optional End-of-Publication Notice — a highlighted callout shown above the issues, left empty by default, meant for the client's own wording about the magazine's 2026 sunset (see that article).

Fields that matter: Selection Mode, End-of-Publication Notice (optional), Items Per Page (Latest mode) or Issues (Manual mode), up to 2 buttons.

Research Reports

Pulls from Research Reports (see Research reports). Selection Mode is All Reports (grouped on the page under Real Estate Trends and Profile Reports headings), By Category (all reports from one category, flat), or Manual (pick specific reports, flat).

Fields that matter: Selection Mode, Category (By Category mode), Reports (Manual mode), Limit, up to 2 buttons.

Documents List

Pulls from Documents and/or Document Folders (see Documents and document folders). Show sets whether the block lists Documents, Folders, or Folders & Documents together. Selection Mode is By Folder (choose a folder, optionally including its subfolders) or Manual (pick specific documents and/or folders directly). Display Type is List View or Grid View; in By Folder mode you can also add a search box and pagination.

Fields that matter: Show, Selection Mode, Folder (By Folder mode, leave empty for all folders), Include Subfolders, Display Type, Enable Search / Enable Pagination (By Folder mode), Items per Page.

Forms Library

Pulls from Forms & Contracts (see Forms & Contracts library) — the same searchable, sortable table used on the public forms page, with its own All / Proposed / Active tabs and filters built in. Selection Mode is All Forms or By Category — show every form in one category.

Fields that matter: Selection Mode, Category (By Category mode), Limit.
