Staff and Departments

Staff and Departments are both under Content in the left-hand menu. Staff holds your association's own staff directory — the people who work for the association, not member REALTORs®.

Departments come first

Departments groups people in the staff directory. Create the department before you try to assign someone to it — if the one you need isn't in the list on a staff record, it hasn't been created yet.

  1. Click Departments in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Type the Title — the department name as it should appear.
  4. Click Save.

That's the whole screen — one field. Renaming is safe (people assigned to it stay assigned); deleting a department in use leaves those people without one, so reassign them first.

Adding a staff member

  1. Click Staff in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Fill in Name and Role / Title.
  4. Add a Photo — it's required.
  5. Choose their Department.
  6. Add Email and Phone, if you want a "Contact Me" option to appear on their profile.
  7. Write a Bio.
  8. Click Save.

There is no draft. Saving publishes immediately.

Photos

Use a headshot cropped roughly square, with the person's face reasonably central — a photo with the subject far off to one side will crop awkwardly. See Images and files for how uploads work in general; staff photos upload directly on this screen rather than through the Media library.

The Contact Me email

If you fill in Email, it powers a "Contact Me" form on the person's public profile — visitors never see the address itself, it's only used to deliver the message. Leave it blank and no contact form appears for that person.

When someone leaves

Delete their record, or the website keeps listing them. Deleting is permanent — if they might return, or you want the page to stay live briefly, edit the record instead and delete it once you're sure.

⚠️ Who can do what

Neither Staff nor Departments is role-restricted. Anyone who can sign in to the CMS can add, edit and delete records on either screen, whatever their role. Treat deleting a staff member with the same care as deleting a file from Media — there's no undo.
