Job Openings

Job Openings is under Content in the left-hand menu. It holds the job adverts shown on your website's careers listing — both openings at Texas REALTORS® itself and postings from other REALTOR® associations in Texas.

Adding a job

  1. Click Job Openings in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Choose the Listing Type — see below.
  4. Fill in Title, Employment Type and Location — all required.
  5. Add Years of Experience and Salary, if useful.
  6. Write the Description.
  7. Check the Published At date.
  8. Click Save.

There is no draft. Saving publishes the job immediately.

Listing Type

Two options: Current Job Openings (Texas REALTORS) for your own postings, and Other REALTOR® Associations in Texas for jobs at other associations. This is what separates the two sections on your careers page — choose the one that matches who's actually hiring.

Taking a job down

Untick Active and save. The advert comes off the website, but the record stays, so you can see what was advertised and when, and put it back by re-ticking the box if the role reopens.

Delete only when you're certain you'll never want the record again — that's permanent.

Writing the advert

Say how to apply, explicitly, inside the Description — there's no separate "how to apply" field. The single most common reason a good candidate doesn't apply is that they weren't sure how.

Put the salary in if you can. Adverts without one get noticeably fewer applications.

Who can do what

Admins, Editors and Authors can create and edit job openings. Only Admins and Editors can delete one.
