Committees and committee members

Committees and Committee Members are both under Content in the left-hand menu. Between them they cover your association's committees and who sits on them.

These are staff-authored, not synced. Unlike Members or Offices, committee content is written and maintained by your team, the same way a page or a news article is. A roster feed is planned for the future, but it isn't switched on yet — treat every committee and every committee member as something you create and edit directly.

Committees

A committee page works like a small version of a regular page — a title and a body built from blocks, plus a couple of settings.

  1. Click Committees in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Fill in the Title.
  4. Build the page content with blocks — text, images with text, an accordion, or a staff block to show who's involved.
  5. Tick Members Only if the committee's page should be restricted to signed-in members.
  6. Save as a Draft while you work, then Publish when ready.

Committees have the same draft/autosave/scheduled-publish workflow as Pages and News.

Fields you'll see but shouldn't need

Every committee record also carries Tangilla Committee Name, Source and Last Synced in the sidebar. These are reserved for the roster sync mentioned above and are read-only. Leave them blank — nothing currently writes to them, so an empty value is correct, not a sign anything's missing.

Committee Members

The people who sit on each committee — a separate list from Committees itself.

  1. Click Committee Members in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Fill in Full Name, Position, Office / Organization and Phone Number as needed.
  4. Choose the Committee they belong to.
  5. Click Save.

There is no draft here. Saving publishes the record immediately.

Like Committees, each record carries read-only Tangilla Key, Source and Last Synced fields reserved for the future sync — leave them blank for now.

Who can do what

Admins, Editors and Authors can create and edit committees and committee members. Only Admins and Editors can delete either.

Deleting

Deleting a committee's page or a committee member is permanent. If a committee is winding down rather than gone, consider leaving the page up with a note rather than deleting it outright — that avoids leaving a dead link behind for anyone who bookmarked it.
